Employer Accreditation in NZ
The employer accreditation process has changed
While employer accreditation is not a new concept for New Zealand businesses that wish to employ skilled migrants, there have been some significant changes to the process.
Here’s what you need to know about the new accredited employer requirements:
- The new application process is ‘employer-led’ – this means additional documentation requirements, including in-depth job checks.
- Employer accreditation is mandatory for all organisations that wish to employ migrants: whether from offshore, or migrants who are already in NZ.
- There are four types of employer accreditation based on the size of your business, and the number of migrants you wish to employ.
